Jimmy Fallon Talks About His Competition

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” host Jimmy Fallon joined Howard Stern at his studio to talk about how he is adapting to the challenges of his new show; his competition and the politics of securing guests.

Howard started the interview by congratulating Fallon for beating “The Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in the ratings. Fallon responded that he’s gotten good wishes from a number of late night hosts including Ferguson, Kimmel, Carson Daly, Jon Stewart, Jay Leno and the legendary Dick Cavett. As far as the “booking wars,” Fallon says any guest who wants to appear on any other show before his is welcome.

Fallon personally reached out to several of his early guests including Robert De Niro (his first), Tina Fey and Cameron Diaz. Howard agreed that he would be happy to appear on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Howard also suggested that Fallon consider featuring a wet tee-shirt contest but kidded him that “hot chicks are the worst guests.”

The interview in its entirety can only be seen on Howard TV On Demand service starting tomorrow, March 5, 2009. More information is at http://pressoffice.howardtv.com. Contact: pressoffice@indemand.com or call 646 638-8206.
